Wells Fargo Rewards just added JetBlue TrueBlue as its seventh airline transfer partner, and the timing couldn't be better with the new Blue Sky partnership with United Airlines now live.

What you need to know

Wells Fargo cardholders can now transfer their rewards points to JetBlue TrueBlue at a 1:1 ratio. Even better, there's no minimum transfer requirement, so you can move as little as one point if you need to top off your account. In testing, transfers posted instantly, which is perfect when you spot award availability that might disappear quickly.

This brings Wells Fargo's airline transfer partner lineup to seven programs: Aer Lingus, Air France-KLM, Avianca, British Airways, Iberia, Virgin Atlantic, and now JetBlue.

Why this matters right now

Here's the kicker: JetBlue just launched its Blue Sky partnership with United Airlines. That means your TrueBlue points can now be redeemed for select United flights too. By transferring Wells Fargo points to JetBlue, you're essentially unlocking access to both JetBlue's strong Northeast and Caribbean network and United's massive domestic and international route map.

For what it's worth, this makes Wells Fargo Rewards significantly more versatile for everyday award travelers.

Best ways to use your points

JetBlue has some genuinely compelling sweet spots right now. You can fly Condor business class from the East Coast to Frankfurt for just 54,000 points one-way (hello, lie-flat seats to Germany!). Domestic JetBlue flights to the Caribbean often price at excellent rates, and we've spotted JetBlue flights from Boston to Paris as low as 7,100 points plus $5.60 in taxes.

Through partner bookings, you can also fly Japan Airlines to Tokyo starting at 39,000 points in economy or 79,900 points in business class. Not bad for a Wells Fargo transfer!

Finding and booking availability

Finding the best award availability on JetBlue and United can be challenging, especially during peak travel seasons. That's where Roame's SkyView comes in handy. You can search award availability across multiple airlines simultaneously and set up alerts when the flights you want become available. Head to Skyview to start tracking availability today.

How to transfer

Link your JetBlue TrueBlue account to your Wells Fargo Rewards account through the transfer partners section. If you don't have a TrueBlue account yet, you can create one for free on JetBlue's website. Remember that transfers can't be reversed, so always confirm availability and pricing before moving your points.

Bottom line

Wells Fargo's transfer program might be smaller than Chase or Amex, but it's getting more useful with each new partner.

The addition of JetBlue, especially with the United partnership access, makes Wells Fargo points more valuable for domestic and transatlantic travel.
