It’s impossible to compete with the rainforest views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in these 34sq m rooms, so decor is minimalist, with seike-wood furnishings, white walls and linens, and splashes of grey and taupe. Subtle LED lights in the king-size bed’s headboard allow for night-time sights (some Wayra rooms are twins with two doubles), and there are shades for light sleepers. Ensuites have a walk-in shower, and all rooms have a TV, iPod dock, free WiFi, desk, bathrobes and slippers, air-conditioning, free bottled water and Amenigraf bath products. Three pairs of Wayra rooms can interconnect, and a warning to the shy: windows aren’t one-way.
